WELCOME

Glad you're here! But where is here? It's a place to explore thoughts, wisdom, the beauty that surrounds us, the challenges we face, and more.

It's a digital journey. A century ago this would have been a notebook full of jots and clippings. I know because I came across Hester's very scrapbook she filled in the early 1900s. Hester happens to be my paternal grandmother born in 1901. Learn more about Hester, and and my maternal grandmother, Hallie, plus more details on why I began this site.

So welcome to this digital scrapbook. I'm not sure how it will unfold but that's part of the fun of the journey.

Thanks for joining me. Scroll down to see what's in store.

Here's where you'll find brief articles and an occasional essay on life in the 21st century. Dive in and comment (but be civil for the sake of us all.)

Thanks to Smartphones it's simple to capture the world around us and proof there's plenty worth viewing besides selfies!

Epigrams, or quotes, fascinate me. They are succinct summations of a truth and make you think. Read a few. See how your brain reacts.

"There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away," wrote Emily Dickinson. Here's review of what I've read and what I stopped reading and why.
